Textbase Limitations

Practically speaking, Orbis/Orbis+ can search as many files as you want. The technical limits are as follows:

•	Total paths are limited to 16 million.

•	Total number of entries is 358 million (an 'entry' is normally a paragraph).

If the entries are files, then these can be spread out anyway the user wants -- 16 million folders, each with 22 files, or 358 million files in a single folder, or -- as will certainly be the case, some combination. If entries are paragraphs, then the 358 million of them have to be spread out based on number of entries.
