Document Recompose

An open document can be recomposed by clicking Format, Document Recompose or by pressing Shift+Esc. This will recompose the way a document looks in Page Layout view, rebuilding page breaks and the way footnotes appear at the bottom of the page. Use this function if you see any problems with the way a document is composed, for example, if footnotes are on the wrong page or if there are screen rewrite problems (parts of document do not clear when paging up/down).

Recomposing a document does not update your citations or build a bibliography. If you have citations in your document that have been generated by Ibidem, they can be updated by clicking the Update Dynamic Citations button at the bottom of the Nota Bene screen or by pressing Alt+F7. Updating dynamic citations reads and rewrites all of the citations that are controlled by Ibidem, producing new citations and a new reference list in your document.
