Language Dialog Bar (Ctrl+Shift+L)

A Language Dialog Bar can be opened on the left side of your screen by clicking Tools, Lingua, Language Selection or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+L. When the Language Dialog Bar is displayed, you can do any of the following:

Select a language from the Recent Languages list by clicking it or by typing its number.
Select a language from the Installed Languages list by double clicking it. This also adds it to the Recent Languages list.
Display optional Languages by double clicking that header.

If you are writing in a file, Ctrl+Shift+L will give focus back to the Language Dialog Bar. When it has focus, Numbers 1 to 9 will select the Recent Language with that number. Ctrl+Shift+L will close the dialog if it is open.

At the bottom of the Language Dialog Bar, you can choose how/when you want the language selection to be retained.

Instead of using the Language Dialog Bar, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts to switch from one alphabet to another:

Ctrl+Shift+R to select the Roman alphabet

Ctrl+Shift+G to select the Greek alphabet

Ctrl+Shift+H to select the Hebrew alphabet

Ctrl+Shift+C to select the Cyrillic alphabet

Ctrl+Shift+A to select the Arabic alphabet

Ctrl+Shift+P for the most recently selected extended alphabet
