Font-Rendering Options

Lingua provides options for rendering certain diacritics in Greek and Hebrew. If you change the options, the change will be effective for the whole document and any Greek or Hebrew text already entered will automatically be changed. The pop-up dialog box that appears when you press F6 will automatically show the form that you have selected.

The Font-Rendering Options dialog provides options as follows:

Greek:  The perispomeni accent can be rendered in a rounded circumflex form or a tilde form.

Hebrew: Vowels and cantillation marks can be displayed or hidden. When displayed, the following options are available:

Cantillation marks can be shown in the style of ancient manuscripts or in the style of standard printed editions
Vowels on the final koph can be raised
Furtive patah can be used on final he, ayin and het
Doubled zarqua, segol, telisha ketanah/gedolah can be centered
Doubled pashta can be centered (on non-final occurrence)

The Font-Rendering Options dialog can be opened in either of the following ways:

Click Format, Font (or press Ctrl+T). The Set Font dialog will display. Click the Options button.
Click Tools, Lingua, Font-Rendering Options

Click the Hebrew or the Greek tab to make selections as described above.
