pdfFactory provides a cost-effective way of making PDF files. PDF files (Adobe Portable Document Format) are used worldwide to transmit documents with all formatting, fonts and graphics preserved exactly. They can be viewed and printed with Adobe Acrobat Reader, a program that is preinstalled on many computers and available as a free download from Adobe. With pdfFactory, you can convert your Nota Bene files to PDF format, combine multiple files in one PDF document, and add or remove pages. The PDF file that you create can be saved or attached to an outgoing e-mail. This is a terrific way of sending Nota Bene documents to colleagues when your colleague needs to see the file, but does not need to edit it. All formatting, text (including Hebrew and Greek), and even embedded graphic images will be preserved exactly as if you had printed them. pdfFactory works with Nota Bene and with any Windows program.

pdfFactoryPro includes all of the above-mentioned features and it adds the following advanced functionality:

Create PDF files that cannot be opened without a password,

Prevent printing PDFs, or prevent copying text or graphics.

Automatically or manually create bookmarks to organize and easily navigate complex documents.

As the name suggests, FinePrint allows you to print in fine print. Print 2, 4, or 8 pages on a single sheet of paper. This is ideal for printing drafts of long documents or for any situation where you want to print lots of material on fewer sheets of paper. Save trees. Save room in your briefcase. Save time printing long documents. Save time at meetings by glancing at several pages on one sheet rather than fumbling through too many sheets of paper. Maintain readability by adjusting margins and borders. With FinePrint, it’s easy to assemble your pages, save them and rearrange them in the order you want. pdfFactory/pdfFactoryPro + FinePrint

Use the two products together to create a document with multiple pages on each sheet of paper, saved in PDF format. Use FinePrint first, then select the pdfFactory (or pdfFactoryPro) “printer” on the FinePrint dialog to create a PDF file.

Just open a file, click File, Print and select pdfFactory or FinePrint as the “printer” to be used. Clicking OK will then open a dialog that will make all of the functionality of the program available to you.
